Let me be straight forward here and began this blog by saying that I am not an Albert Gore fan, nor am I a huge admirer of Dickey Cheney. I am just a half citizen of two nations. One nation boasts as the leader of the world and the other is trying to live happily amongst nations. But that aint is the topic at hand. What I am about to divulge is somewhat of an environmentalist point of view. Our world has shown some weird movements that must be talked about and in my case, make some sense out of.

Two days ago, I was somewhere in the Northwest where it was sunny like summer but cold like a winter. Talking with my friends down in Nevada and Eastern California, it was snowing crazy like it was in the middle of Russia town. This is what I am talking about. This craziness of the season. No wonder Mr. Gore had dissappeared from the front of the Evening and Sunday news. Ooops, I forgot he got the Nobel Peace Medal. I guess Dickey Cheyney is appearing too often just to see if he can at least get a No Peace Medal price from the Rebups and the Tea Partiers.

Hey, look. I almost forgot I have to include some things about home sweet home, the island nations of Micronesia. Yeah, I am talking crystal clear waters and those awesome fantastic and scenic beaches in Chuuk, Pohnpei and Yap, and the sleeping lady of Kosrae. Heck we have lots of our own men and women fighting the never ending wars of the middle east.

Now it's time someone brings up the topic of getting educated in America and then go sit under those coconut trees in Chuuk. I wish that one day I will be able to do just that.

MyCoconut friends, you need to pray for me. I need your help. lol. Good bye now and see you soon.

MyCoconut is truly a wonderful place for people to come and share. The features are awesome and easy to use. I love coming here for many reasons, one of which is to share what's on my mind. Another is to be with my islandmates, and the third is to come and just hang out, listening to the many songs, and watch the videos. It is awesome feeling to be on MyCoconut.

I am from Chuuk island in the Federated States of Micronesia where coconut is everywhere. Coconut is used for many different things. The fibers can be used to make ropes and the palms can be used to make baskets, balls, hats, mats, and roofs. Coconut tree is a useful tree. From the top to the roots, every single part can be used for something.

MyCoconut is an icon representing the islands where coconut is abundant. Mycoconut is a place of gathering, like the coconut tree, it provides shades where people can come and gather and meet each other. It is a place where ideas can be exchanged and feelings can be expressed.

It is with great pleasure that I came to know and enjoy MyCoconut. It is truly a unique place on the web to come and enjoy.

Recently, well very recently actually 3 hours ago, a little girl knocked on my door. I didn't answer until 5 minutes unsure if I wanted to buy one or ignore her. But soon my guilt got the best of me and I was opening the door. A 3rd grade looking girl looked up at me with short blonde hair and said, "Would you like some cookies?" I stared at the box while she explained every cookie. "Mint. I want mint." She smiles and digs out a mint scout cookie. I pay her the 4 dollars and says, "Thanks!!" I nod and close the door. I stare at the scout cookies and smile because this is my first time eating them. I open the box and cautiously look in. I never believed that scout cookies looked good, and the scout managers just make the poor girls run around and earn them money. It was awful but as soon as I eat one I am astonished. It tastes soooooo good! It was chocolately except missing the mint part but still it was awesome! I must take a photo and show you it It tasted astonishingly good! I wished I bought more

Yep, Yep, Yep. Ladies and Gents., Chuuk is the place I came into this world to call home. It is a lovely place, a tiny little place with lots of islands and atolls. And o yes, it has many many beautiful coconut trees. Chuuk is my home. Fonuweisom is my place. And Epiweires has a special place in my heart.

There were many, and I have to say many memorable memories of home. One was the renaming of my state from Truk to what it is now called, Chuuk. Whatever the reasons were, I think it dignifies the closeness that each of us Chuukese has of our place. We want to call ourselves what our ancestors had called themselves many many moons ago. Truk was the pronounciation that was written down in the modern era, by people that accidently came upon our islands. It was to make it easy on their minds and in their ears, but to the indigenous population, my ancestors, it was a sign of a new Millenium.

Chuuk earned its independence from the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, along with Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Yap, in the 70's, correct me if I am wrong, in 1979 when the constitution was established and was adobted by all involved. Basically, Saipan left, Palau didn't stay, and the Marshall islands flew. It was then that the remaining four former TTPI colonies (sorry for this word), with no fault of theirs, had to come up with a constitution and that's when the union was formed. And that's when the following was born...

WE, THE PEOPLE OF MICRONESIA, exercising our inherent sovereignty, do hereby establish this Constitution of the Federated States of Micronesia.

With this Constitution, we affirm our common wish to live together in peace and harmony, to preserve the heritage of the past, and to protect the promise of the future.

To make one nation of many islands, we respect the diversity of our cultures. Our differences enrich us. The seas bring us together, they do not separate us. Our islands sustain us, our island nation enlarges us and makes us stronger.

Our ancestors, who made their homes on these islands, displaced no other people. We, who remain, wish no other home than this. Having known war, we hope for peace. Having been divided, we wish unity. Having been ruled, we seek freedom.

Micronesia began in the days when man explored seas in rafts and canoes. The Micronesian nation is born in an age when men voyage among stars; our world itself is an island. We extend to all nations what we seek from each: peace, friendship, cooperation, and love in our common humanity. With this Constitution we, who have been the wards of other nations, become the proud guardian of our own islands, now and forever.

It was a great story of how my Chuuk became part of the now Federated States of Micronesia. How lucky we are that we were not forced into forming a union, but rather left to form one. lolz... If you really think hard about it, it really is amazing. Saipan got up and left, palau decided to sit out and the Marshalls just flew away. They were the bad brothers you know. The four that left in the TTPI had no choice (because they really had no other plans), and didn't plan on leaving so they plainly came up with a union...

My Country, my home, and my union is now called the Federated States of Micronesia. Do you know that it was going to be called, FIRM? FIRM stands for Four Islands Republic of Micronesia. I think this was right. Or if you know the real one, please respond to my blog and tell me the right one.

But anyhow, Federated States of Micronesia is now Micronesia. Danggitt! Our country has a rich history of names. Firt it was the Caroline Islands, then Four States of Micronesia, and Federated States of Micronesia, and now Micronesia. What would come next? Who knows?

Let us assume Pohnpei stands up and decided to leave the Union. Then now we have a Therated States of Micronesia? Or maybe just the Tripplets? Or maybe a KCY (KosraeChuukYap)? Or Maybe Yap decided to go with Palau and Kosrae with Pohnpei? Now only my beloved Chuuk becomes its own, the Chuuk State of Micronesia (CSM for short). Not bad name, huh?

I am sure Chuuk can survive. It has been ther for Millenia so there is no doubt that Chuuk and Micronesia will be what they are forever and ever. And my lovely place of Epiweires will always be there for me. Whenever and however I go back home.

I hope you enjoy my blog. Now good night and good bye. See you tomorrow.

"I love the holidays but I cannot wait for it to be over with it," one person said. I couldn't agree with him/her more. The Holidays are funtastic that we have to stop doing certain things, but I am not so sure everyone can agree with that. In my case, I want to be in school so I can get it over with. I want to graduate sooner so I can go out in the real world and see how independent I can be.

But, it maybe that I wanted to get back to school because it is the one and only reason I can be away from home and be with that special person I admire from a far. laughing out loud. Don't laugh too hard though, because each one of us has our own reasons and that is the only reason and excuse I can come up with. And where is a better place than MyCoconut to share these type of stuff. Again Laughing out Loud, only this time it is louder than the last time. Ho Ho Ho.

Santa had disappeared into the clouds, I know and you know where in the world is he heading. With the guidance of the Red Nose Rheindeer, he is about a few hours away from the North Pole. He has to be there to usher in the New Year, and leaving all these kids with rodden teeth and funny smiles. I can't wait for the next Holiday Season.

Friends on MyCoconut, I cherish every moment I spent on here and I have you to thank for all of this. As we are getting ready for a New Year, please remember to pray for all of us to live in a healthy 2010. Pray also that our islands be safe from the flooding world.

Thanksgiving Day-What is it to an Islander?

Have you asked yourself why, as an islander, we should even partake in this Thanksgiving thing? What is it to us? Is it to thank God? or is it to thank yourself? Hmmm. What is it, really?

As far as I am concerned, thanksgiving is a day of Giving Thanks~, exactly what it says. But then whom to thank? Well, there is God, and then there is you and last but not least, there is me, me, me.

I guess because I am so so bias in my Catholic faith that I must say, it is a day of being thankful to God for what he has given us. Ok. That is correct in the Catholic mainstream, but how about those that have no faith. Well, then there is you and there is them. I must think that they would thank themselves first and then others, but that has to be explored further to fully understand its real root.

Anyhow, I must be thankful for living this life and experiencing the challenges that it (life) brings. How about you?

Oh, and the most important part that I almost left out is that thanksgiving is the day of killing Turkeys. Turkey has a life too! Don't you agree. Well, if you do then stop killing that poor bird. Leave it alone. Give it to Bush and ask for a presidential pardon.

Thank God MyCoconut is back into business. I am all very excited now and good gracious isn't way improved. I was not too happy went it went offline but man that was in the past and we are here right now. Future is brighter when I have a place to come and see friends, islandmates, and all of you of course.

There is many things to talk about so I asked that you buckled up and enjoy the ride. I will tell you my story and there are lots of it to share.

New Mexico is the place to be during Fall and Winter Months. It is just gorgeous out here, especially up on the hill-sides. School is already in full swing so I am spending most of my time on campus. Yesterday we took a trip to the zoo and man I didn't see the island birds , just zebras and Gimps.

Today, we have no class in observance of this very important day so I stayed home just reading books and clean up the house. Mom was not at the house most of the as she was running errants and that was just fine with me. Sometimes, it is so so cool to be by yourself you know. I think this day is my day.

I have no military relations whatsoever so I cannot explain what this day means, but I am very thankful for our soldiers because they are indeed protecting our freedom. They are our heros in times of war and conflicts. I am just too scared for them. I do not want them to kill people and I do not want them to be harmed by other people.

I guess my contribution would be to keep on praying for them. Especially those that have kids. I can feel sorry for the kids growing up without knowing if their Dad or Mom would ever come home one day.

I am sleepy now so I have to go and get some sleep. I am just very thankful that Mycoconut is back. Thank God.

Well, ladies and gents, I just got bored so I decided to put in a few hours of dedication and sweating to make this thing a little bit organized (at least I thought so) so that you can have an easy time here.

Now, it's your turn to let me know what you think. Hahaha. You do not have to write in english all the time. And if you are scared to write because you think writing is difficult or English is just too complicated, you got to think twice. I really do not think so. Anyways, back to the topic, please let me know what you think of this theme. I really liked it and think it it as easy and as organized as it can be. But your opionion is what matters the most and I will take it to heart.

It is 5:21 am Washinton State time and yeah I am up and fully awake. I just needed a cup of Macadamia Coffee and ping I can go. I was thinking of what to do then I realized I had to spend some time updating this thing so you can come and enjoy it. Just no worries cuz this is really is my hobby.

Talking about this MyCoconut thingy, I must admit making money creating website is kind of neat. It takes a lot and I mean a lot of time, efforts, and of course dedication to do online business. MyCoconut is not a project of making money though. It is a communication hub for friends and relatives as well as anyone that wants to meet up with islanders and learn their life ways.

Today is veteran's day, and it would be foolish of me not to say thank you to the young men and women serving this nation so bravely through times. It is their day of honor and I must join the entire nation in saying thank you.

Thank you for joining Mycoconut and I hope that we can all sail along just fine. May God bless you!

A MyCoconut History/Background Story.

Life is life and we are here again. I couldn't be more happier seeing you all on your MyCoconut. It was an eery feeling when I decided to bring this thing back because I felt like I let all of you down for not keeping it up, but I guess we just have to look forward and expect the best.

Just to give you a brief explanation and history of what happened, I must say it all because of relocation and not good planning. I recently, not quiet recent, but it is not too distant to the past, however, that I had to relocate due to my favorite job, and that required pulling all the plugs out from the wall an drag all the belongings including the servers, monitors, accounts, and everything in between, to the new location.

Moving stuff 5 hours away is not an easy thing to do. That was exactly what I found out when I had to relocate. I made not one, and not even two but four trips between my Old home and the new one. It was a tiresome experience and one that I couldn't bear thinking about. After moving stuff, then comes the fun part-unpacking and putting things into cultural settings (Please do not pay too much attention, I made things up sometimes ---Hahahahaha).

Cultural setting? Wow! What in the world is that? Well, hold up and let me explain. In my culture, oops, the culture that I came to know, living room is where people live (right?) and then dining is where people eat meal and then the bedrooms are the places people sleep in. This setting is somewhat cultural. Or perhaps, it's tradition! So I had to put things into their rightful places. That is indeed tradition, or cultural or whatever.

Now, what have we done to prevent MyCoconut from ever going offline again? Well, I came up with a very intriguing plan. First I have to find a way to put the servers into different places. And then I have to make sure that I pray every night so that his almighty may bless these places so that they may not be hit by lightning, hurricanes, or other Godly made disasters.

You may be wondering where in this small world did I hide these servers, so I should go ahead and let it out. Or no. I should let you hang for a while while I am poking around some good places. Well, Arlington, Texas would be a good choice. Why? You tell me. Oh, I think the One Billion Texas Stadium is there! That is a good reason we should hide a server there. Or, maybe just because the Texas Rangers play in Arlington. But no, I still don't think it's a good place. What the heck, let us just put one of the servers in downtown Arlington.

How about here in Seattle? We have the Space Needle, and the Huskies and the Mariners and o yeah, the Seattle Sonics, ooops, I forgot the Sonics took the Super Sonics to Oklahoma and never returned. I know I forgot the Sea Hawks, but who cares, they always loose. O not really, they beat the Cowboys during that play off years back. It was when Romo was crazy about, what was her name, the actress, singer... Ahhh, never mind, we'll just put one in Seattle.

And then the last but not least, how about beautiful Cali-4-nia? Yes, the fire, mud sliding, bridge collapsing California... Ok. I got it. We will have to put one there. Yeahhhhhhhh. Success!

Now we should all be just happy that we can hide everything in one place. Hhahahahhahaha. I gotta go buy some taro and some coconut and some papaya and some banana and some other stuff. You behave and be proud. I have a warning for you. DO NOT LAUGH AT MY ENGLISH--I AM AS GOOD AS FORMER PRESIDENT BUSH IS! If you do not believe me, then wait until I write my next blog... I promise I will keep you on your toes.
